Overview:
FOS advisors are on-site only for UOP Oleflex unit’s turnaround, catalyst/adsorbent loading, re-startup , unit line-out and troubleshooting, etc. supported by technology experts(TE) from UOP's China Oleflex technology center(COTC). They help to ensure that the plant is well protected, inspected, cleaned and repaired or revamped for catalyst loading, startup and line-out for stable operation. Advisors are also involved in the troubleshooting and test runs that demonstrate guarantees and are accountable for process, equipment, Oleflex technical insight and assist customers in resolving engineering and operating issues.
UOP advisors may remain at a site for a few days to 1~2 months before moving to the next assignment. For each re-start-up, advisors work with a number of UOP-licensed Olefelex units and a variety of individuals within and outside of UOP. The experience gained from each assignment, and the subsequent interaction with other UOP employees, provide a solid background for assessing and solving problems encountered in each situation in various Oleflex Units in China.
Must have:
1. 3~5 years UOP Oleflex unit operation experience.
2. English language ability in both written and spoken skills.
3. Assertive
4. Should commit at least 3 years on filed work after on-board training.
Could have
1. Chemical engineering degree. Master is preferred.
2. Proactive and Inquisitive.
3. Working experience on UOP technologies will be a plus.
Additional Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills; Basic knowledge of one or more of the technologies listed above including their equipment and operations.
2. Much of this travel can be scheduled and planned.
3. Physical inspection requiring climbing up, crawling through and walking on pressure vessels, distillation columns, tanks, and piping at commercial sites is sometimes part of the job.
